Poessay: Rosary 5 - Descending
July 31, 2008
temporal
temporal
snow flakes float
from where
the Words
used to descend once
playful, cajoling, gliding
skirting buildings, branches
hearts, young and old
then hitting the ground
where they embrace
fallen flakes
again
and yet again
losing individuality
under the flakeslaught
of furtive embraces
and silent screams
rustling leaves
gliding, descending
like the words of God
ginger footprints
on wrinkled souls
sigh less
silence
deafening
despite the day's din
a silence in which stillness stood out
a repose in which Creation stood out
and that smile
